Privacy policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Hyde collects when you use our website, editor and hosting services, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this policy short and plain on purpose. If anything is unclear, email privacy.projecthyde@pixelverse.tech.

1. Information we collect

Account information: name, email address, profile image and authentication identifiers from providers you sign in with, such as GitHub or Google.

Content: prompts, uploaded images, project files, chat history, Hyde Cloud records and anything else you create or store in the Service.

Usage information: pages visited, features used, credits consumed, device and browser type, IP address and approximate location derived from it, and crash or error logs.

Payment information: handled by our payment processor. We store only a customer identifier, plan details and the last four digits of your card.

2. How we use information

  • To provide, maintain and improve the Service, including generating code from your prompts.
  • To process payments and manage credits.
  • To send transactional messages such as magic links, invites and billing receipts.
  • To detect abuse, enforce our Terms and keep the Service secure.
  • To understand how the product is used so we can make it better.

We use AI model providers to generate code. Prompts and relevant files are sent to those providers to fulfil your request. Providers we use are contractually prohibited from training on this data.

3. How we share information

We share information with service providers who help us run Hyde, including cloud hosting, databases, email delivery, payments, analytics and AI model providers. They may only use the information to provide services to us.

Public projects, including their name, description, thumbnail and published site, are visible to anyone and may be remixed by other users. Private projects are visible only to members of your workspace.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of users or the public, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case we will notify you.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Published sites and visitors

When you publish a site, we collect basic analytics about its visitors on your behalf: page path, referrer, country, device type and a hashed visitor identifier that rotates daily. We do not use cookies for this and the data is shown only to you.

You are the controller of any data your site collects from its visitors, for example through Hyde Cloud entities or forms. You are responsible for providing your own privacy notice to your users.

5. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as your theme and selected workspace. We do not use third party advertising cookies.

6. Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, your projects and personal data are deleted within 30 days, except for records we must keep for legal, billing or security reasons. Backups are rotated within 90 days.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Project secrets are encrypted with keys that are never exposed to generated apps. Access to production systems is limited to authorized staff and is logged. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and enable two factor authentication with your sign in provider.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these rights directly in account settings, including downloading your projects and deleting your account.

Business and Enterprise workspaces can opt out of having content used to improve our models. Everyone can unsubscribe from product emails using the link in each message; transactional emails will still be sent.

To make a request, email privacy.projecthyde@pixelverse.tech. We respond within 30 days.

9. International transfers

We are based in the United States and process data there and in other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we use standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards for transfers out of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.

10. Children

Hyde is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. We will post changes here and notify you of material changes by email or in the app.
